Jose Leon Ortiz, 73, of Binghamton, NY, passed away, December 10, 2019. He was predeceased by his brother, Louis Ortiz. He is survived by his wife, Connie Ricotta; three children, Jose Ortiz, Jeane Rivera (William), Jose Tunstall (Katie Brandow-Tunstall); nine grandchildren, Lexy Ortiz, Matilda, Izabella, Thaleia, William, and Mateo Rivera, Dahlia Brandow, Amelia and Aurora Brandow-Tunstall; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Pete Ortiz (Olga), Aurelio Ortiz (Donna), William Ortiz (Lily), Elia Ortiz.
He was a professional boat captain and was a former employee of Blue Point Company in Sayville, NY. He enjoyed baseball, dancing, fishing, and his family. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY, on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
