In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 27, 2019, Denise J. Martinkovic devoted wife, Mother, and Grandmother went with the Lord peacefully at age 66. Denise was born on June 14, 1952, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She received her Nursing Degree at Broome Community College and practiced Nursing for over twenty years doing various roles during her tenure.
On October 21, 1972, she married her love, Fred J. Martinkovic and together they raised three boys Frederick(Ricky), Nicholas(Nicky) and Benjamin(Benny), in Vestal NY. Denise’s loved her family, she really enjoyed visiting them with Fred and truly appreciated it when they visited her while she was at Eastside Nursing Home. Denise was funny, beautiful and had the biggest heart of anyone out there.
Denise was predeceased by her parents, Stephen & Helen Sebesta, her husband Fred Martinkovic, and their beloved dog, Pepe. She is survived by her three children Rick, Nicholas, Benjamin, her grandchildren Makayla, Connor Niko, Noah Atlas, Jonny Joe, Michael, Lydia, and Bryce, her siblings, Patricia Hinkley and Stephen Sebesta, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to personally thank Northern Lights Hospital-Eastern Maine Medical Center for all their help and assistance. They took care of our mother with the kindest care and made us all feel blessed that she was in the care. We would also like to thank Eastside Rehabilitation center for their care of our mother over the past year.
