Steve G. Pavlovich, Sr., 92 of Endicott, NY, passed away, May 3, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty (Sgobba), his sons, Gary and Evelyn, Steve and Jill, Rick and Julie Lussier, and Chris; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kristen and Bud Seaton (Henry and Stella), Lauren and Jason Kendrick (Mila), Adam and Inna Pavlovich (Alanie and Angelina), Chris and Ka Pavlovich II (Lovely and baby boy due in May), Tyler Pavlovich and Christine Butler, Dylan Pavlovich; sister-in-law, Rosita Crane; former daughter-in-law, Kelli Pavlovich; also many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Alois and Frances Pavlovich, and his grandson, Michael, his siblings, Joe and Filomena Pavlovich, Mary and Bill Laskevicz, Alex and Louise Pavlovich.
He was a 20-year employee of the Endicott Police Department, after which he started Pavlovich Pavement Markings with his sons. He was a longtime baseball umpire and basketball referee affiliated with the Endicott Umpires Chapter, ECAC, and IAABO, which included college-level officiating for both. Steve was one of a kind – a man always in charge and fondly named, The General. He loved his family and had many close friends that were like family; his home was always a gathering place for everyone. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
