James P. Estelle, Jr., 50, of Johnson City, NY passed away peacefully, Monday, January 26, 2021, at Lourdes Hospital after fighting COVID for 19 days. He is survived by his wife, Angela (Giordani) Estelle; his parents, James, Sr. and Sharon (Griswold) Estelle; 2 sisters, Lisa Estelle Wilson (Roger), Judy Estelle Lilley (Josh Pruitt); his in-laws, Frank and Beth (Koch) Giordani; also several nieces and nephews especially, Alan Wilson and Brittany Bennett, as well as a large extended family whom he dearly loved.

Jim was a lifelong resident of Johnson City and worked at Pacemaker Steel for 21 years. He loved the water and was a boat captain and divemaster. He enjoyed traveling with family and diving with sharks and other ocean creatures. He was also a talented mechanic, handyman, and woodworker who could fix anything. The best thing about Jim was the way he loved everyone, his family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers. He had a great sense of humor, an infectious smile, and gave the best hugs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 3:00 PM at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY with The Very Rev. John Martinichio, officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to, “Remembering Jim Estelle” Go Fund Me to assist with his large medical expenses. A celebration of life will be announced at a later (safer) date.
