Jacqueline (Darling) Leet of Endwell, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was preceded in death by her son John Patrick; her parents Jack and Helen Darling; her brother James (JD) Darling and her canine companions Misty, Coco and Dutchie. She was the beloved wife of over 40 years to John (Jake) Leet; devoted mother of Kate (Michael) Dingell; grandmother to Grace and Elise Dingell; loving sister to Gary (Marcia) Darling, Shirley (Paul) Smith; her brother-in-law, Brian (Rita) Leet. She was loved by many nieces and nephews, Heather (Joel), Allison, Christine, Nicole (Tom), Melissa (Ryan), Andy (Beth), Josh (Casey), Jason (Brittany), Christopher (Abigail), Matthew; and though not family, JJ and Ashley.
Jacki was an avid New York Yankees fan, lover of books, crime dramas and fountain diet coke. She took pride in helping family and friends. She found joy in spending time baking and watching her granddaughters grow.
Over the years, Jacki dedicated herself to volunteer work. During the holidays she took delight at organizing the Christmas room for Samaritan House and served as the President of the Board for many years. For 15 years she was a leader at St. Joseph’s School and was instrumental in fundraising efforts. In later years she took comfort in promoting and supporting the John Patrick Leet Memorial Scholarship Fund at SUNY Broome.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church 207 Hayes Ave. Endicott. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, NY. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..
