Sharon (Keener) Majka

Sharon (Keener) Majka was called home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2022, at the age of 79. Sharon was predeceased by her husband, David (Dave) Majka, mother Josephine Racz, father Willard Keener, brother Willard (Butch) Keener, and grandson Austin Gibson. Sharon grew up in Endicott and met her future husband while in her late teens. She was waiting tables and when she asked David what he wanted, his reply was “You on toast” followed by “You are prettier than Sophia Loren”. They married soon thereafter and remained so until David’s passing on July 6, 2015. Sharon and Dave raised their four children, of which she was immensely proud, in Johnson City. She was a fantastic cook and baker, always looking to feed anyone who befriended her. She loved all her dogs, enjoyed ceramics, gardening, bowling, picnicking, fishing, and going for long rides all over the Finger Lakes region. She worked in the bindery at Zimmer Offset Printing and All Ready Printing for most of her working years until she retired. She was also a proud four-time cancer survivor.
