Dr. Rodolfo Suguitan (Sugi)

Dr. Rodolfo Suguitan (Sugi) 92, of Bradenton, FL and formerly Binghamton, NY passed away on June 23rd, 2022.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Vasconi Suguitan, son Joe Suguitan and sister Rosalie Lee. He is survived by his daughter, Jodi Suguitan and husband Luke Shanks, his son, John Giroux, his siblings, Linda Aquino, Norman Suguitan, Mario Suguitan, Cesar Suguitan and his best friend, Nick Kish and wife Lorraine. 

Sugi was born in the Philippines and came to the United States in 1955 for residency at Albany Medical Center. He went on to become a Plastic and Trauma Surgeon in the upstate NY area. In addition to saving many lives, Sugi would return yearly to the Philippines volunteering his time to operate on children to repair cleft lips and palates. He was also an accomplished tennis player winning the illustrious USTA “gold balls” in the National Clay Court Father/Daughter Tennis Tournament.
