Mark J. Somple, 60 of Binghamton,NY, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on Tuesday January 10, 2023. He was predeceased by his father, Dennis Somple; his uncle and Godfather, Fr. John Chupeck. He is survived by his wife, Petra Somple; his mother, Pauline Somple; his brother, Nick (Kelly) Somple; his nephew, Michael Somple; his niece, Sarah Somple; also, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a 1984 graduate of Lafayette College and a member of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, Binghamton.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 16th at 10:00 AM at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, 54 Baxter St. Binghamton, NY 13905. Burial will follow in St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Cemetery, South Canaan, PA. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM.
