Michelle (Zemek) Merry, 67 of Johnson City, NY, went to heaven peacefully on December 7, 2023, with her husband by her side. She joins her beloved family members who have gone before her; parents Mary and Charles Zemek; brothers Richard and Charles Zemek; nephew Christopher Albee and brother-in-law Jerry Albee. She is survived by her husband Bryan Merry; her children Katie Merry Williams (Jeremy), Nicholas Merry, Alexandra Merry (Tamdan McCrory and children, Keelin, Jared, Saya); her sister Mary Jo Albee; her sister-in-law Eileen Zemek; her niece Heather Royce (Joe Buonocore and children, Aly and Cara); her grand-nieces and nephews Dominik Royce, Sophie Royce (father Jim Royce), Joshua Albee (mother Kim Wallace), and Mika Buonocore; also many cousins and extended family here and abroad, especially in the Czech Republic. She was raised in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Binghamton and graduated from St. Ann’s School. She was a graduate of Johnson City High School and SUNY Brockport. She was also a member of the Czechoslovak Moravian Club. The family extends a special thank you to Amy Relyea who is Michelle’s selfless living organ donor who gave us 12 more precious years.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 15th at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity 346 Prospect St. Binghamton, NY 13905. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to www.donatelife.net
