Lillian “Arlene” Garfield 92 of Johnson City, formerly of Endwell NY, passed away peacefully on
April 21, 2023.
Arlene was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Anthony “Joe” Garfield, her parents Charlotte and Clyde Tice, her brother Lloyd Tice.
She is survived by 2 children, Gary Garfield (Laurie Maczko) of New Hampshire, James (Heather) Garfield of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Jared Garfield (Brittny Skrupky) and Nicole Garfield (Patrick Myers) step-grandchildren, Jordan Fehr (Tristin) and Madison Fehr, one great-grandson Lucas, a very special cousin, David (Tricia) Alamo, several nieces and nephews and many devoted neighbors and
friends.
She was a founding member of the Church of the Holy Family in Endwell. She was a retired long-time employee and volunteer at Lourdes Hospital. She was also a volunteer at Mercy House, a member of PEO and a member of Lyceum. She was a Master Gardner at Cutler Gardens. She loved to travel and was an avid tennis player.
The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott on Wednesday, May 3 rd from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 4th at 10:00 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Mercy House 212 N. McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
