Michael Sedlack went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 10th, he was 95 years old.
Predeceased by his brother George Sedlack Jr. and his sisters Anna Blazicek, Mary Masaryk, and Susan Sedlack.
Survived by his loving wife of forty eight years Julie Sedlack (Smetana), his sisters Helen Osborne, Dorothy Sedlack and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mike was a practicing Greek Orthodox Christian and attended St. Michaels church on Clinton Street in Binghamton, New York.
Mike was in the Marines for WWII and trained Electronic Operators stateside for the Korean War.
Mike was employed by IBM and then Lockheed Martin. He was an Electrical Senior Principal Engineer on the Tomahawk missile program and received the President’s Supplier Award for his commitment to total quality and dedication to customer satisfaction.
He was a member of numerous organizations such as the Elks, Moose and the American Legion.
Being an avid sportsman, he enjoyed his work golf leagues, fishing and hunting with his buddies and archery with his nephew Paul. Mike loved the outdoors and the challenges it presented to him.
Memorial donations may be made to Saint Michaels church or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Special thanks to Geri Nolan, Sveta Vining and all the loving caregivers who took care of Mike on a daily basis while he battled Parkinson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 17, 2023 at St. Michael's Greek Orthodox Church 296 Clinton St. Binghamton, NY at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
