Mary (Mea) Irneli DeAngelo

Mary (Mea) Irneli DeAngelo, 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 4th. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Albert (Bert) DeAngelo, her infant son Albert, her parents, Joseph and Catherine Irneli, and her in-laws, Rocco and Philomena

DeAngelo. Also predeceased by her siblings, Dominic (Antoinette) Irneli, Sylvia (Terry) Bocinski, Theresa (Frank) Valletta, In-laws, John Fiato, Tony and Nancy DeAngelo, Dan and Virginia DeAngelo, Alfred and Ginny DeAngelo, Matt and Mary Leslie, and Geno and Gerry DeAngelo. She is survived by her son David (Barbara) DeAngelo, her daughter Donna (Bob) Williams, her sister, Elsie Fiato, grandchildren, Lori (Bill) Delmore, Colleen (Ken) DeRenzis, Brian Doherty, David Miller, Jason (Jaclyn) Williams, and her very special granddaughter Christy Williams, a special niece, Sandy DeAngelo,  her great grandsons Kevin and Liam DeRenzis and great granddaughters Liana and Adelyn Williams. Also, special adopted daughter Donna Eaton and special friend, Marie Fontana. Mary was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to Sister Anisia for her prayers, friendship and loving care, as well as our gratitude to Lourdes Hospice for their compassionate nurses and our dedicated caregivers, Elizabeth, Katie, Paula, Audrey, Mary, and Chelea.

Mary was a woman of many talents. She worked at EJ’s, and found her calling as a Buyer for china and table linens, as well as managing the bridal registry at Burt’s of Endicott for many years. Her most cherished role was mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved family above all. She excelled as a caregiver for her family and all her friends. She spent her time making delicious meals which included her sauce, pasta, raviolis, gnocchi’s, as well as baking all kinds of cakes pies and cookies. Her compassion for caring for anyone in need was unmatched.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9th at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 300 Odell Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY on Thursday February 8th from 4 to 7 PM.
