Patricia M. Lennon

Patricia M. Lennon, 91, formerly of Endwell, passed away on March 21, 2024 at the Brookdale Cary memory care facility in Cary, North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her mother, Mary (Nelson) McLaughlin, father, Edward McLaughlin, and beloved husband of 54 years, Paul S. Lennon. Patricia is survived by her children, Paul Jr. and Anne Lennon of Tyngsboro, MA, Susan (Lennon) and Andrew Pfeiffer of Upton, MA, Kristin (Lennon) and Christopher Meyer of Cary, NC; grandchildren Stephanie (Lennon) and Matthew DiPace, Cara Lennon, Rebecca Pfeiffer and Carlos Orbegoso, Gary and Blythe Meyer, and Kevin Meyer. A devoted mother and grandmother, Patricia took great pride in her children and grandchildren.

She was a long-time a member of St. Josephs Church in Endwell, NY before moving to Cary, NC in her later years. An outstanding student, Patricia graduated from the Katharine Gibbs secretarial school in Providence, RI and landed jobs as an Executive Secretary for firms including NY Life and Bell Aircraft. A lover of flowers and flower arranging, she earned her Master Gardner credential and applied her skills as a volunteer at the Cutler Botanical Garden in Binghamton, NY, and as a long-term member, president and 17-year newsletter editor of the Garden Club of Endwell. Patricia also enjoyed great success as an executive tax preparer for H&R Block and as a sales consultant at Endwell Fashions. She held numerous other positions of responsibility throughout her adolescence and adulthood and in all, she was held in high regard.

With husband Paul, Patricia travelled the world and especially loved her visits to the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and Canada. She reveled in sharing her travel adventures with her
friends and family members through her famous scrapbooks. She was also an avid stamp collector, with many of the items in her collection cleverly originating from her own US mail
correspondence that included a handwritten request to “please save stamp” on the back of the envelope.

Widowed in 2010, Patricia remained in Endwell until 2018 when she moved to Cary, NC to be near her daughter, Kristin. Unfortunately, after enjoying her new surroundings for 6 months, she was diagnosed with dementia in 2019 and moved into the Brookdale Memory Care facility in Cary. She spent the rest of her days there, eventually succumbing to the disease’s final stages in March of this year. The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Brookdale Cary
staff for the care, support and love they showed Patricia throughout her entire stay. The smiles and tears we saw in all of your faces at the end spoke volumes to the depth of your care.

The family will receive visitors from 10-11AM on Tuesday, April 2 nd followed by a Catholic service at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home. Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, NY.  In lieu of
flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Garden Club of Endwell at PO Box 185, Binghamton, NY 13903, or to the Dementia Alliance of North Carolina at www.dementianc.org.
