WILLIAM FRANCIS CAWLEY passed away on Monday April 15, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, James, and Alice Cawley. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances (Curatolo) Cawley; his brother, James Cawley (wife Barbara) and nephews James Cawley (wife Mindy), Sean Cawley (wife Carmen), nieces Michelene Cawley, and Erin (husband Steve) Chilcote, Celeste McCormick (husband Duncan), Johanna McCormick, Nardina Turner; nephews, Dennis Curatolo (wife Lisa), Peter Curatolo (wife Diana), Scott Griffith (wife Kimberly). Bill graduated from Forest City, Pa. High School in June 1952 and received a BS degree in Electronics from the University of Scranton in June 1956. He then received an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University later in 1956. Bill started working for IBM in 1956 and retired in July 1987. He met his wife Fran while working at IBM and they married in 1977. He was an avid skier and golfer. He also enjoyed country music dancing with his wife Fran. He and his father built a cottage on the St. Lawrence River at the Thousand Islands where he enjoyed fishing, boating and just relaxing on the porch watching the big ships go by. Bill was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 27that Northminster Presbyterian Church 711 Farm to Market Rd. Endwell, NY 13760 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM
