Diedre (Kennicutt) Stanko 75 of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 12, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Chuck Stanko; her parents Donald and Betty Kennicutt; her siblings Gary Kennicutt and Karen Berlant; her beloved dog, "Yahtzee".
She is survived by her daughter Dennell Jurgensen (Eric); two grandchildren Connor and Lindsey Jurgensen; three sisters Raylene Lewis, Kristi Carulli (Florindo), Dana Sibley (Don); her sister-in-law Jeanne Kennicutt; her precious cat, “Munchkin” who was her faithful companion after Chuck’s death; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to her neighbors whose help made it possible for her to remain in her home and to the staff of Willow Point Nursing Home Rehab for the weeks of extraordinary care that she received. Diedre loved retirement! She enjoyed fishing, musicals, watching television, panda bears, diamond art, slot machines, baking her famous chocolate cake, making spiced walnuts for the holidays, her nightly glass of Red Cat wine, and especially spending time with her family. She was a retired employee of BAE Systems, Johnson City, NY.
Calling hours will be Wednesday May 15th from 5 to 7 PM at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery on Thursday May 16th at 10:00 AM.
