Francis J. Olshefski 77 of Endicott, NY passed away Sunday June 9, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Olshefski; his brothers Cy (Marty) Olshefski, Matt (Theresa) Olshefski, Tony Olshefski; his sisters Jean (John) Yurko, Henrietta (Roy) Saxer; his sister-in-law Mariana Olshefski. He is survived by his brothers Marion (Sandy) Olshefski, Paul Olshefski; his sister-in-law Cheryl Olshefski; also, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He attended St. Cyril’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Schools and graduated from Union-Endicott High School in 1965. He was a veteran of the US Army serving as a Medic in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired employee of IBM Endicott and a member of St. Joseph’s Church. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. Fran was an animal lover, a good cook and a history buff. He enjoyed a good western and painting pictures inspired by Bob Ross.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday June 17th at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church 207 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Binghamton, NY. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to either Lourdes Hospice 4102 Vestal Rd. Vestal, NY 13850 or the Animal Care Council 131 Washington Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
