Dorothy (Eleftheratos) Ahern, 92, formerly of Binghamton, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Absolut Care of Endicott. She was predeceased by her husband, James Ahern; her daughter, Christine Hine; her grandson, Matt Howe. She is survived by seven children, Stella (Al) Pittarelli, Michael Ahern (Debbie), Cassandra Ahern, Denise (Chris) Hall, Jamie (Michael) Dean, Laura (Ed) Warner, James (Stacy) Ahern; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her sister, Catherine Glowacki; her brothers; Salvatore (Ted) Eleftheratos, Dennis Eleftheratos. She was a retired IBM employee, a former Universal Instruments employee, and held various other jobs until the age of 75. She was a devout catholic and a member of the former St. Andrew’s Church, Binghamton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell, NY. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
