Cosimo A. DelSanto, 77 of Endicott, NY, passed away Monday June 7, 2021 after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Teresa (Bucci) DelSanto; his brothers, James P. DelSanto I, and James P. DelSanto II; his sister Angeline (Joseph) Catanzaro; his niece, Judy Anne Griffith. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rita (VanAuken) DelSanto; two sons, Mike (Victoria) DelSanto and Nicholas DelSanto; three grandchildren, Shawn, Stephen and Michael DelSanto; his niece, Mary Anne (Gerald) Serbonich and Joseph Catanzro, Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Marcella (Dan) View and Winifred (Jerry) Agan; also several great nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was a graduate of Union Endicott High School, Class of 1962. He was a four year Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 3 years at Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod working security and was on the Presidential Honor Guard. He served his last year in Pleiku, Vietnam. He started his career at Midstate Litho and later co-owned Carr Printing from 1979-1989. In 1990 he opened Cos’ Corner in the Midtown Mall in Binghamton. He was the founding owner and operator of Close Quarters in Endicott from 1991-1995. In 1996 he established Cos’ Tap Service and retired in 2003 to travel and enjoy life with his wife, Rita. He was a member of the VFW Post 1371, Owego, The American Legion Post 1700, Endicott, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Endicott, The Endicott Elks, The American Carpatho Russian Citizens Club, Endicott and The Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge #443, Order Sons of Italy in America, where he was instrumental in the establishment and operation of its Friday Lunch Program as well as chairing and volunteering for many other events.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 701 W. Main St. Endicott, NY. Entombment will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, NY. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY on Friday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Son’s of Italy Scholarship Fund 126 Odell Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
