Thomas R. Lesko, 79 of Endicott, NY, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday September 4, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas J. and Genevieve (Kocak) Lesko, and his daughter-in-law Lisa Lesko. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Angelina (Cacciatore) Lesko; his son Jason Lesko and his wife Erin Moran; his daughter Jennifer Lesko; three sisters Dianne (Robert) Decker, Marlene Lesko (Ken Makenzi), Lori (Stephen) Kraly; four nephews Michael (Shelley) Hutchko, Marc (Jane) Hutchko, Kyle (Kaitlin) Kraly, Kevin (Rachel) Kraly; his sister-in-law Mary (Mark) Williams; also several special and dear friends.

Tom was a graduate of Johnson City High School Class of 1959. He served in the US Navy for 4 years and retired from IBM after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, a member of the American Legion Post 758 of Johnson City and American Legion Post 80 of Binghamton where he volunteered for many events. He was a member of the Endicott Baseball Umpires Chapter from 1969-1979. He was a District 6 American Legion Baseball Chairman and Co-Chaired the annual Broome County American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame Tournament. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Jim Mudcat Grant Charity Golf Tournament for 11 years. Tom loved fishing, the NY Mets, the NY Giants, the NY Rangers, Notre Dame, Syracuse Sports, good food, a cold beer and sipping on a Manhattan.


A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church 300 Odell Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at St. Anthony’s Church on Friday from 2 to 4 PM. The family requests that guests please wear masks and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mr. Lesko’s memory to either The Disabled American Veterans or The American Legion Baseball Program both located at 76 Main St. Binghamton, NY 13905.
