Cecilia Siminitz peacefully passed away to be with the Lord and her loving husband, Chester. She was born and raised in Throop, PA, the daughter of Mary and John Boresheski. She was the last to join her brothers and sisters John, Helen, Stanley and Joseph in heaven. She is survived by her devoted children, Sue (Mike), Pam (Bob) and Tad (Chris), her grandchildren, Jude, Terez, Jesse, Kyle and Jordan and her great-grandchildren, Lia, Ellie, Mae, Lucy and Luke.
Her love of life and unwavering faith in God made her life rich and her marriage and family strong. She was a member of St. Casimir's Parish where she sang in the choir for 35 years. She was also a lector and member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was then welcome with open arms at the Church of the Holy Family. She enjoyed the trips, the wine tastings and all the activities offered.
She and dad were avid travelers and visited Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. She loved to cook, garden, ski and golf, but she especially loved the holidays and shopping. She volunteered at the local nursing home for many years and she and Chester volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She had an amazing life filled with joy, love, fun, and adventure and was always the life of the party!
The family is grateful to Jennifer, her caregiver and friend, who helped her to stay in her own home. The family would like to thank Vestal Park Nursing Center staff for their loving and compassionate care over the last 2 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 14th at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell, NY 13760. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Mercy House 212 N. McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760.
