Glenn D. Schnauber, 54, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Rochester, NY (formerly of Endicott, NY), passed away
on October 23, 2022.
He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara (Kushner) Dailey, and by his father,
Francis Schnauber. He is survived by his sister, Kyra Schnauber of Endicott, NY, and many close aunts,
uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Glenn was born and raised in Rochester, NY. As a kid, he loved to play the drums, golf, play baseball, go
fishing, and read fantasy novels. He graduated from Churchville-Chili Senior High School, Class of 1986.
While in school he was very social and often known to be the life of the party, but he also excelled at
academics and was involved in many intellectual pursuits. He was a nerd at heart who somehow became
one of the cool kids. He went on to study at SUNY Buffalo, where he received his bachelor’s degree in
Mathematics in 1990.
Glenn had a long and successful career in Quality Management Systems (QMS) as a certified lead auditor
and instructor, beginning his career at Eastman Kodak before moving on to work for Bausch & Lomb,
Frontier Corporation, and Bureau Veritas. Glenn was a talent in his field and performed hundreds of
audits for numerous industries across North America, Europe, and Japan. Glenn had a great knack for
teaching and instructed many individual training courses over his career. He also founded his own
company, Common Sense Consulting.
While Glenn was incredibly proud of his career achievements, he especially enjoyed his downtime and
liked to say that he “worked to live” and not the other way around. He remained a life-long golfer and
golfed every week at his club, the Dunes, in Myrtle Beach, and he was a co-founder and four-time
winner of his friends’ annual “Molson Cup” golf competition in Rochester. He also loved his regular
beach bocce games, animals and nature, passionately debating politics and current events, watching
great television, and just hanging out and catching up with his friends. Glenn REALLY loved the Buffalo
Bills, and perhaps the great tragedy of his life is that he didn’t live long enough to ever see the Bills win
the Super Bowl. Glenn was super special, so charismatic and fun, smart, generous and kind, he always
wanted to help others and to teach them useful life tricks. He loved music and played a number of
instruments, from drums to bass, guitar, keyboards and piano. He had an endearing habit of gifting
many of his friends’ and family members’ children with their first musical instruments. He loved his
family and was so loved in return. Glenn treasured his many close friends who just meant the world to
him. He talked all the time about how lucky he was to have such amazing friends and he really meant it.
He will be so greatly missed and will live on forever in our hearts.
Glenn’s family would like to thank everyone who has been so supportive and kind in remembering Glenn
at this time of such great loss, particularly his many friends who have reached out in love and support.
The family plans to hold a remembrance gathering in Endicott, NY in the Spring when Glenn will be laid
to rest at Riverhurst Cemetery. A celebration of Glenn’s life is also being planned by his friends and will
be held in Rochester, NY on Friday, December 30, 2022
