Robert (Bob) Kucko

Robert (Bob) Kucko entered into the kingdom of heaven surrounded by friends and family on May 14, 2022. 

Bob was survived by his son, David Brian Kucko, Grandchildren Kelsey Greco and Jaycob Kucko, Siblings David and Peggy Kucko, Bernadine Carman, many nieces and nephews and special friend Barb DiLorenzo.

Bob left this world to be reunited with his adoring wife Sally Kucko whom he was happily married to for 63 years, children Scott Kucko and Kelly Pratt, Grandson Derek Greco, brother and sister-in-law Samuel and Suzanna  Kucko, brother-in-law Dr. Robert Carman, and special friend Benny DiLorenzo.

Bob graduated from Union Endicott High School in 1956 and joined the US Navy. Bob was selected to serve in the United States Navy Ceremonial Guard, where he was chosen to stand watch in the Rotunda for the unknown soldier from the Korean Conflict . He also held the honor of serving as Queen Elizabeth II’s personal usher when she visited the United States.  Once Bob left the service, him and his brother took over their father’s barbershop, The Shear Shed.  Bob and his brother David co-owned and ran the Shear Shed for 53 years together. 

When Bob wasn’t working, he volunteered with the Endicott Sertoma Club where he was chosen to sit as the club president and as Chairman of the Board of Directors.   Bob and Sally enjoyed playing tennis together and cooking meals for their family and friends.  Bob will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and community. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 27th at 1 pm at St. Joseph’s Church, Hayes Ave Endicott.  Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at church Tuesday from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm. Donations can be made out to a charity of your choice.
