Lenkiewicz,Hazel Cummings, 99, of Johnson City, passed away peacefully at home onTuesday, December 20, 2022. Hazel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She grew up on the family farm on Farm to Market Rd. in the Town of Maine. Graduated from Johnson City High School. She became the beloved wife of Tony on Valentine's Day 1943 and spent 71 years together before his passing. Hazel had many talents and interests including : Sewing, crafts, making her own greeting cards, gardening, along with being a great cook and baker.
Hazel was the 4-H Club leader of the Patterson Creek 4-H Club in the Town of Maine for many years. Her 4-H Club members benefited immensely from her wealth of knowledge. She is predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters and son. David Lenkiewicz. Hazel is survived by her sister Julia Kuenzli and brother Niles Cummings; her children Anthony H. And Gail Lenkiewicz, Judie Lenkiewicz, Virginia Raffel, Tammy Schuttak; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Endicott Community Church of the Nazarene, 1381 Union Center Maine Hwy, Endicott, NY on Wednesday December 28th at 12 Noon. Burial will be in the Spring.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon.
