Sulun (Su) Yen Chin passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY.
Su is predeceased by her mother Gloria Bennett, her father Bing Chin (Lau), and half-brother Woon Cheung Lau. She is survived by her children Tiffany (Nick) Nolte of Union City, PA, and Nohla Meade of Spartanburg, PA, her grandchildren Carter and Theodore, Union City, brother Henry Chin and nephew Nathan of Raleigh, NC, sister Nancee (Mark) Chin of Manassas, VA, half-brother Woon Ming (Shai) Lau of Brooklyn, NY, and nephews Kenny (Cindy) Lau of San Jose, CA, and Mark Lau of Boston, MA, in addition to many cousin's, great nephews and nieces.
Su attended school in Johnson City, and enjoyed her work at Fay's Drugs, Philadelphia Sales, and Endicott Interconnect, to name a few. As a lifelong resident of the area, nothing made Su happier than her family and fur babies. Her compassion for strays included kitties and rabbits she would rescue from local shelters. Su was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. She would give anything for us without expectation. She empathized with those who were struggling and she always helped people any way she could.
In honor of Su's memory, pay it forward. An act of kindness such as an ear to bend, a quick hello, or helping hand to someone in need is what she would have wanted. In parting, a shout out goes to the medical establishment in the United States, with absolutely no respect. Do better, especially with addressing neurodivergence in females young and adult. Stop their needless suffering with your biased misdiagnoses and maltreatment protocols.
