Leonard A. Dudinyak

Leonard A. Dudinyak 85 of Endwell, NY, passed into eternal memory on June 5, 2024. Born in Hazelton, PA, to the late Andrew and Helen (Sotack) Dudinyak. He was predeceased by his sister Jeanette Ann Young. He is survived by his wife Joanne; sons Scott, Michael (Dina), David (Lisa), Mark (Pamela), Christopher (Krista); fifteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his sister Dolores Dudek of Gainsville, Florida. Leonard was educated in the Hazelton City School District (56’), Pennsylvania State University, The Federal Aviation Administration Academy at the Aeronautical Center, OKC, OK., and the National Weather Service Training Center, KC, MO. He was a Naval Veteran and employed with the Departments of Defense, Commerce and Transportation in civilian life. He made his profession as Brother Nathan in the THIRD Order Religious under the OFM, Conv. Obedience in June 1986, elected Formation Director in 1988 and Minister/President in 1992 of the St. Francis Fraternity, Endicott, NY. He was the representative for the Eastern Region to the Immaculate Conception Province (15), Rensselaer, NY for many years. Chosen by the Provincial Minister of the Immaculate Conception Province, he was assigned to the Steering Committee for Regionalization in 1993. As a result, the Blessed (Saint) Kateri Tekakwitha Region was approved by Rome and Canonically established in 1994. He was elected to the 1st Council of the new region. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Endicott, NY.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 11th at 10:00 AM at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Endicott. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY on Monday June 10th from 5 to 7 PM. The Very Rev. Fr. Steven Galuschik will hold a Parastas Service on Monday evening at 6:30 PM at the funeral home.
