Jack Rossi

Jack Rossi 77 of Endwell, NY and Palm Harbor, FL passed away peacefully after a short illness at his home in Endwell on Tuesday August 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and lifelong friend. He was predeceased by his parents Giacomo and Carmina Rossi; his son-in-law James Spraker; his sister and brothers-in-law Rose (Butch) Westcott, Bob Moulton and Andy Smith. Jack was the proud father to two daughters and sons-in-law Heather (Woody) Wood, Michelle (Matt) Ellis; proud and amazing grandfather to five grandchildren Tyler Krom, Savannah Wood, Violet Wood, Ava Spraker and Ben Ellis; loving brother to three sisters and one brother-in-law Mary Smith, Lena (Edward) Santelli, Louisa Moulton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and amazing friends. He was a graduate of SUNY Brockport where he was the President and Founder of the John Wayne Fan Club. Jack was an Earth Science and Chemistry teacher for 35 years with the Maine-Endwell School District, where he also coached many sports and was the founder of Donkey Basketball. After retirement he worked for several years as an Associate Judge at Tioga Downs. He was a Harness Horse Driver/Trainer Owner at Marshland Farms in Apalachin, NY. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, a member of the Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge 443, Order Sons and Daughters of Italy, a proud member and Marshall at the Links at Hiawatha Landing where he held his famous Columbus Day Golf Tournament, and the President and Founder of the Northside Sausage Club. Jack enjoyed spending the winter in Florida where he started a Bocci League and organized many different events in the Lake Tarpon Community.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 4th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 300 Odell Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY on Tuesday September 3rd from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
