Jihad Abdulah Hutcherson was born July 15, 1999 to Julius Hutcherson and Shakeema Briggs. Jihad attended U-E High School. He was extremely blessed with a big personality which allowed him to shine in any environment. He enjoyed the simple things that life had to offer such as, cooking, cracking jokes, barbecues and being with family. Jihad had a heart of gold and would help anybody who needed him. He took time to get to know individuals for who they were and would build a solid foundation with that person. His presence has changed the lives of many who will continue to keep his legacy alive. Jihad was blessed with a mother love, Quenise Holland; a brother Michael Holland; grandmother Georgieanna Johnson; his favorite aunt Nahkeysha Holland. He also leaves to cherish him memories, one sister Akliah Briggs-Melvin and his younger brother Mekhi Belcher; his biological grandmother Desiree Minard; grandfather Michael Briggs; six uncles Antuane Briggs, Craig, Thundarr, Jamaal, David and Elijah, Tanisha, Sheryl Briggs and a host of cousins and friends.

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be. So he wrapped his arms around you. And whispered “come to me”. You didn’t deserve what you went through. And so he gave you rest. God’s garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best. So when I saw you sleeping so peaceful and free from pain, I could not wish you to come back to suffer that all again.

Jihad’s family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all our family and friends who supported us during this difficult time. Your concern, love and care have sustained us. May God continue to bless you and keep you in perfect peace.
