We are sad to announce that Harry I. (Bud) Bowers, 85 of Endicott passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 8, 2021. He was born December 21, 1935, to the late Harry C. and Vera Bowers. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; his daughter Robin (Nic); his son Jim (Carrie) and his granddaughter Ava; his brother Richard (Sally) and his family; his sister-in-law Pat (Dick) and family. He served in the U.S. Navy and married Joan Milunas in 1963 starting their life adventure to Rochester, NY, Downers Grove, Illinois, Los Gatos, CA, Pittsford, NY, and finally to Endicott, NY. Harry achieved great successes in business having held positions of General Manager for five companies, President and National Sales Manager from Rochester, NY to Chicago, Illinois, Mountain View, CA, Vestal, NY to Lewisburg, PA where it was said “he made the largest impact on our company of any one person in its 50 years.
He was simply a “great guy” recognized by all who knew him.
Bud’s simple pleasures included enjoying friends, plays, road trips, golfing, and watching any sport on TV, the company of his seven dogs now with Maggie, and any time at the Beach, especially Cape May. His greatest source of pride and joy was being a father to Robin and Jim. Recognition to Joan’s family who welcomed Bud and loved him, especially Pat and Dick, and our cousins. The family wishes to thank Dr. Mehta, Dr. Jonathan Kloss, Katy, Dr. Yalamanachili, Dr. John Miller, Dr. Marhaba, Dr. Birtsch, Kristen; and Lourdes wound care and PT (Kate and Patrick). We were truly blessed by the wonderful people who touched our lives. The kind acts of our friends and family have been so appreciated. Bud was a humble man, loving husband, devoted father, and grandfather to our wonderful “Ava”. I loved you from the beginning “ hearts and kisses forever”.
At Bud’s request, there will be no formal Funeral Service.
