Beatrice Garcia

In Loving Memory of Beatrice (Mom Bea) Garcia

Beatrice Garcia was born on September 10th 1943 in Jamaica Queens, New York to Cleo Thorne Jordan and Charles Johnson. Beatrice lived in Jamaica Queens with her mother and siblings for many years before eventually meeting and marrying Mr. Virgilio Garcia. Beatrice raised five children and helped to raise countless other children all over New York State. Beatrice had a heart of gold and was a mother to many. She dedicated her life to Christ and shared the good news of the gospel with everyone she encountered. All that knew her can without a doubt attest, to the fact that she was a wonderful, powerful, woman of God. Beatrice was a soldier in the army of the Lord. Never failing and always consistent, she made it her business to worship him and show everyone how important it is to have a relationship with Christ. Beatrice worshiped the Lord until she was called home. She was kind, Loving and would and give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. We truly believe, she received her wings during her transition. Like her sister Christina, she loved unconditionally. Beatrice gave more throughout her life then any human was capable of giving, and she possessed the compassion of The virgin Mary and the strength of Samuel.

Beatrice was educated in the NYC School System and went right to work after child rearing. She worked various jobs including, Ideal Toy Factory, Whole Sale Clothing Outlets, The Sugar Factory, as a baby sitter and a Home Health Aide for Several families in the community. Beatrice became an Evangelist and a Master of Ministries in the early 1970’s. She had already given her life to Christ but once saved Beatrice never looked back. She trusted God with all of her mind, body and soul.

Beatrice enjoyed family reunions, reading her bible, gospel music, and singing oldies with the family. Her vision was for family to stick together and draw nigh unto Christ. She lived her life in prayer and in the hopes that we would enjoy one another and all return to Christ one day.

As the Matriarch of the family Beatrice stayed strong until she lost her son Richard in 2021. Amidst many losses, losing a son was way too much to bare. In January of 2022, Beatrice’s health began to rapidly decline until finally she succumbed to her broken heart and was called home to be with her Lord on June 11th, 2022. Mom was tired and the Lord knew it so he called her home. The most beautiful blessing is that she died on her knees. Fly High Our Beautiful Angel.

She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to mourn, her brother Richard Johnson, Sister-in-Law: Carolyn Johnson, and her aunt Betty. Her dear children: Larry (Elai) Garcia, Linda Garcia, Virgil Garcia, Sabrina Garcia. Son and Daughter-in-Laws: Ralph & Bonita Terry, Gene Randall. Grand children: Camille Garcia, Serita Marrow, Carl Garcia, Jalil Miles, Deshaun Terry, Mercedes and Mahoghany Garcia, Capris, and Latondra. Cousins: Diane, Dorothy and Delores Jordan and a whole host of other nieces, nephews, family members, and dear friends, unmentioned.  Our Beloved Beatrice was preceded by Her Mother Cleo, her Sister Christina, her Aunt Estelle, Her son Richard, grandsons Virgil Jr. and Connell, and so many other loved ones already in the Heavenlies.

May God Bless each and everyone of us until we meet on the other side.
