Sophie Bednar 82 of Endwell, NY, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2024. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Rekito, Ann Oliver, Catherine Anderson, Eleanor Sprague, Irene Huray, Margaret Whipple; her brother, Andrew Bednar. She is survived by two brothers, Michael Bednar and Paul Bednar (Marge); also several nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren and close friends. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church in Endicott, NY and Lopez, PA., a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Binghamton, NY and a member of the Bible Study Group of St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott. Sophie loved baking, cooking, antiques and especially volunteering. She was loved by many and gave her heart to all..
Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 9th at 10:00 AM at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church 106 N. Rogers Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Lopez, PA on Wednesday July 10th. The family will receive friends at Ss. Peter and Paul Church on Monday July 8th from 5:00 PM until time of Parastas Service at 6:30 PM.
