Melvin J. Conklin

Melvin J. Conklin, 89 of Endwell, NY, passed away Wednesday September 13, 2023, at Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Rose Pozzi Conklin; his parents, James and Agnes Conklin; his brother, Aurey Conklin; his sister, Elaine Vargason. He is survived by two children, Patricia Conklin Stone (Dean), James Conklin (Kim Thomas); three grandchildren, Derek Edwards (Sarah), James Edwards (Melissa), Ericia Andrews (Joseph); five great-grandchildren, Michael, Alexander and Maria Andrews, Jamesy and Wells Lily Edwards; his sister-in-law, Grace Conklin; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joseph Pozzi (Joannie), Phil Schrader, Nancy Pozzi; also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School Class of 1953, a member of the Church of the Holy Family, a retired employee of IBM with 30 + years of service, a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, a member of the Square Deal Sportsman. He enjoyed four wheeling at Otselic and his times at Owasco Lake in addition to traveling to visit and support his grandchildren in all of their endeavors.

Funeral services will be held Monday September 18th at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Family 3600 Phyllis St. Endwell, NY. Entombment will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please plant a Black Cherry Tree in a special place.

Steve Guidici

Steve Guidici, 77 of Endicott, passed away unexpectedly Friday September 8, 2023, at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert, and Irene Guidici. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Guidici; three children, Matthew Guidici (Erin), Andrew Guidici (Dennie), Stephanie Kelly (Scott); nine grandchildren, Allison and Meghan Guidici, Candi Hoag (Brian), Drew and Gabe Guidici, Taylor Kelly (Kathryn), Samantha, Alissa and Ashley Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Finnegan and Sullivan Kelly, Payton Hoag, Bennett Brill; one brother, Gary Guidici (Jeannie); also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a retired Car Salesman working for Royal Motors and Gault BMW. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed and always noted for his great sense of humor and being quick witted. He was a passionate fan of the NY sports teams. Giants, Yankees, Rangers and the Knicks. He enjoyed playing golf with family and loved being around his grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as family and friends.

Mary Wyszkowski (née Spak)

Mary Wyszkowski (née Spak), 93, of Whitney Point, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Elizabeth Church Manor. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Susanna Spak, Maine, NY; her late husband Alexander Wyszkowski, Whitney Point, NY; and her brother John Joseph Spak, Maine, NY.

She is survived by her loving daughters Mary Lou Fetzko-Leal (Robert Leal) and Patricia Lawton (Rahn Lawton); six loving grandchildren Christine Fetzko, Prague, Czech Republic, Karen Fetzko (Christian Schulz), Charlotte, NC, Mark Fetzko (Meredith Bourne), Ithaca, NY, and Stephanie Fetzko (Patrick Pilie), Houston, TX, Alexis Lawton (Kyle Brown), Basking Ridge, NJ, and Tyler Lawton (Olivia Paschall), Newfield NY; and seven loving great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jackson, and Avery Schulz, Anna and Alexander Fetzko Bourne, and Oscar and Cora Pilie; her sister Anne (Spak) Benek and brother Andrew Spak Jr., Maine, NY, her sister-in-law Joyce Spak, Endwell, NY; and nieces and nephews. 

Mary was born March 9, 1930, in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, and later moved to the Triple Cities area with her parents, where she graduated from Union Endicott High School. She was a faithful parishioner at Most Holy Rosary Church. In addition to raising a family and assisting her husband with their dairy farm, Mary worked for over ten years at Endicott-Johnson Shoe Factory, including in their quality control department.  

Her family and friends will forever remember her sacrificial love and devotion to her family as well as her exceptional baking skills. Some of her family’s all-time favorite hits include cottage cheese dinner rolls, blueberry muffins, pumpkin bread, banana bread, Slovak paska bread, beef stew, and chicken and dumplings. She also was an accomplished pirohy maker and prepared a traditional Slovak “Vigilia” Christmas Eve meal well into her 80s.  Mary looked after her six grandchildren until they entered school and even afterwards whenever they were sick or their parents needed additional childcare support. She and her husband Alex were always there for their family. Mary loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. She also loved looking out her kitchen sink window to watch the deer and other animals on her old farm land. Mary will forever remain in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Endicott, NY on Wednesday, September 13th from 5 to 7 p.m.  On Thursday, September 14th at 10:00 a.m. a funeral mass  will be offered at Most Holy Rosary Church, Maine, NY.  Burial will follow in the Saint Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.

Raymond E. Prebish

Raymond E. Prebish, 91 of Endwell, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 29, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Josie Prebish, his younger brother, Gerald J. Prebish and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth (Conrad) Prebish; his sister, Sharon (David) Priester of Texas; also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott, where he was an active volunteer, a retired employee of Endicott Johnson Corp. with 44 years of service retiring in 1996, a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving during the Korean War, and a graduate of Broome Tech.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 2nd at St. Joseph’s Church 207 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY. at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday September 1st from 5 to 7 PM at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to St. Joseph’s Church. 

Armando Louis Ciacelli

Armando Louis Ciacelli, 92 of Endicott, went home to be with the lord on Thursday August 24, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Domenica Ciacelli; his son, Chris Ciacelli (Liz); his sisters, Antoinette Irneli, and Carol Ruggieri. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 1/2  years, Anita  (Rossi) Ciacelli; his sons, Mark Ciacelli, John Ciacelli (Pat); his sisters, Jeanette D’Aloisio and Anne Rossi; his grandchildren, Mara Vuillaume (Erik), Peter Ciacelli, Nikista Langton (Chad), Matt Millard (Nicole), Adam Ciacelli (Olivia), Caleb Ciacelli, Carmella Ciacelli, Hannah Ciacelli; his great-grandchildren, Ryland Vuillaume, Elise Vuillaume, Audrey Ciacelli, Ryan Langton, Sam Langton, Colleen Langton, Dominic Millard, Phoenix Millard. He was an active member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War and a retired IBM Endicott Employee.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 29th at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 300 Odell Ave. Endicott, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Mary Ann Duggan

Mary Ann Duggan left to join her family on Sunday August 12th 2023 at the age of 96. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent “Don” and son Dennis. She is survived by her grandchildren Stephen (Jillian) of Rochester and David of Endicott. Mary Ann dedicated her life to volunteering, beginning with Lourdes Hospital in 1969 and later in life Meals on Wheels. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott. A private burial will be held with her family.

Maria Filomena “Phil” (Morlando) Barrows

Maria Filomena “Phil” (Morlando) Barrows, 90, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family Saturday, August 12, 2023. Phil was born to Fiducioso and Mary Morlando on Feb 1, 1933. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Jim Morlando, husband Mathias Barrows, daughter Maria Crist, several grandchildren, and countless friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother Nick (Jo-Ann) Morlando, her children, Matt (Nan)Barrows, Michele (John) Moelder, Annette Barrows, Stephen (Michelle) Barrows, Angela (Myra) Sorrentino, and Nina (Ray) Sylvester.  She is also survived by more than 45 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, all of which considered her to be like a second mother, and many friends.

Phil was a graduate of UE high school and attended college. She was an extremely hard worker, the greatest mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend that anyone could ask for. Phil always worked at least 3 jobs at any given time, but her greatest accomplishment was raising her 7 children. She loved to travel and spend time with family all over the United States.  She once traveled to visit her daughter while stationed in Europe. Phil enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and was an excellent cook. At any time, day or night, upon entering her house, there was food waiting for you, and often you left with a full belly and a jar of sauce with a side of meatballs.

Phil’s family would like to thank Dr. Susan Choi as well as the wonderful team at Lourde’s Home Hospice for their special gift of love and care they showed Phil that will not soon be forgotten. A special thank you to mom’s nurse's aide Chris for the extra special love and care that she showed our mother to make her as comfortable as possible.

 Viewing hours will be on Friday, August 18th from 5-7 at Leon Pucedo Funeral Home at 1905 Watson Blvd Endicott NY.  Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 300 Odell Ave Endicott NY. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.

Angeline (Ann) Rosa

Angeline (Ann) Rosa passed away peacefully on August 11, 2023 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard (Dick). Ann was born on March 31, 1935 in Schenectady, NY. She was a resident of Endwell, NY for 60 years where she and her husband raised their four daughters.
She embraced parenthood and adored her family, Cynthia (Rick) Bennett, Michelle Ferraro, Debbie (John) Cable, and Denise (Chris) Ripic, and her grandchildren Ericka (Justin) Piediscalzo, Brad Bennett, Adrienne and Dominic Ferraro, Ashley Cable (fiancé Tyler), Chelsea Cable (fiancé Nathan), Kaitlyn (Russ) Card, Ryan and Morgan Ripic. She was also fortunate to have 3 great-grandchildren, Brielle and Gianna Piediscalzo and Russell Card V.
Ann loved spending time at Rehoboth Beach, trips to Florida, taking the grandchildren to Friendly’s on school holidays, and cooking. She treasured every moment with her family and never missed an opportunity to prepare an Italian Sunday dinner for the entire family. Her profound love for her children and family was evident in all she did, and she leaves behind beautiful memories that will be cherished by all.
For several years she was a resident of United Methodist Homes, JGJ STAR unit. The staff there affectionately nicknamed her “Gram”. The family would like to thank the staff who provided her wonderful care.

Michael Sedlack

Michael Sedlack went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 10th, he was 95 years old.

Predeceased by his brother George Sedlack Jr. and his sisters Anna Blazicek, Mary Masaryk, and Susan Sedlack.

Survived by his loving wife of forty eight years Julie Sedlack (Smetana), his sisters Helen Osborne, Dorothy Sedlack and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Mike was a practicing Greek Orthodox Christian and attended St. Michaels church on Clinton Street in Binghamton, New York.

Mike was in the Marines for WWII and trained Electronic Operators stateside for the Korean War.

Mike was employed by IBM and then Lockheed Martin. He was an Electrical Senior Principal Engineer on the Tomahawk missile program and received the President’s Supplier Award for his commitment to total quality and dedication to customer satisfaction.

He was a member of numerous organizations such as the Elks, Moose and the American Legion.

Being an avid sportsman, he enjoyed his work golf leagues, fishing and hunting with his buddies and archery with his nephew Paul. Mike loved the outdoors and the challenges it presented to him.

Memorial donations may be made to Saint Michaels church or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Special thanks to Geri Nolan, Sveta Vining and all the loving caregivers who took care of Mike on a daily basis while he battled Parkinson.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 17, 2023 at St. Michael's Greek Orthodox Church 296 Clinton St. Binghamton, NY at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.

Judy Duffy

Judy was born on January 17, 1943, in Binghamton, NY to Marion and Perry Loveless. She passed on July
31, 2023 after a valiant struggle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, William Duffy of Vestal; her sons Paul Duffy of Vestal and Stephen Duffy
(Gerry Strobel) of Williamsville NY; her daughter and son in law Sharon and Louis Giordano of Endwell
NY; her beloved grandchildren Nicholas, Samuel, Maxwell, Lydia and Sophia Giordano; her grandpup
Ollie; her brother Eddie; her sisters Esther and Janice; and by many nieces and nephews, especially Jack,
Mike, Jody and Pam, some who said that Judy was like a second mother to them. Judy was predeceased
by her parents and her brother Robert.

Judy was a tough as nails, tell it like it is woman who rarely took “no” for an answer, but she also
conveyed love and acceptance to all of those in her life.

After raising her children Judy Opened Beau Nails Salon in Vestal. She won numerous awards for her
work and was known as the “Nail Lady” until her retirement. She was an artist at heart and enjoyed
painting, crocheting, needlepoint, china painting and sewing many Halloween costumes. Her children
speak fondly of the holiday paintings she would create on the windows of the family home at Christmas
time. Her artwork will live on forever as it is passed down through the generations.

Her pride and joy are her five grandchildren who she proudly displayed on Facebook. Their memories of
crafts, nail painting, sleepovers and smores by the fire will never be forgotten.
The family would like to especially thank Judy’s dear friend Ruthie and all who visited and provided
comfort in Judy’s final days.

There will be no formal funeral services.

Margaret Elizabeth Benson

Benson - Margaret Elizabeth 

Age 69, born in New York, NY, more recently residing in Endicott, NY, passed away in her sleep on June 29, 2023, while vacationing with family in Pennsylvania. Margie was the second of 10 children born to Walter and Anne Benson, both are deceased as are brothers Joseph and Dennis Benson.

Margie is survived by one sister, Therese Benson, six brothers, Walter (Terry), John (Ellen), James (Daria), Patrick (Shana), Paul (Rebecca), and Donald (Angelina) Benson, and sisters-in-law, Amelita Benson (wife of Joseph) and Cathy Benson (wife of Dennis), beloved nieces and nephews, Brian, Emily, Elise, Christine, Kenneth, Toni, Joey, Jamie, Margaret, Jacqueline, Ryan, Ashley, Annie, Isaiah, Julian, and Giovanni, and great nieces and nephews, Eva, Abigail, Camryn, Hank, Joanna, Sydney, Mariah, and Levi.

Margie also had a work family that she cared deeply about and that cared deeply for her. Some of her coworkers described her as the glue of their work family.

Margie had no children of her own. Instead, she dedicated her life to the care of others. After high school she entered a special program that allowed her to become a Registered Nurse in just over 2 years. She became an ICU nurse at New York Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital and remained an ICU nurse and mentor of others in her field. In fact, she worked as an ICU nurse throughout the entire Covid pandemic before retiring in January of this year, ending a career of almost 50 years.

Her loves were her family, children, Winnie the Pooh, Barry Manilow, and Neil Diamond. She enjoyed going out to restaurants, finding special things to buy for special people in her life, and  caring for her loved ones.

In an otherwise chaotic world she was the person that could always be counted on.

There will be no calling hours. Instead, a celebration of her life to be held at a date to be determined

There will be a full Funeral Mass at 11 am on August 5th, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 207 Hayes Ave, Endicott, NY, with a Celebration of Life afterward at the CopperTop Restaurant, 4700 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, in a private room (1:00-4:30, lunch served at 1:30). There will be a microphone for sharing poems, stories, dedications, songs, or whatever people would like to share in celebration of Margie’s life. Edward Martin Dinga

July 10, 1935 - July 29, 2023

Edward Martin Dinga, a cherished resident of Oxford, NY, passed away at the age of 88. Born in Endicott, NY, he later made Vestal his home in 1965. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a man whose life was marked by passion, dedication, and love.

Among his five brothers, Eddie shared a special affection for the game of golf. An avid golfer, he honed his skills and earned a college golf scholarship to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Throughout his life, he remained an ardent enthusiast of the sport.

His passion for teaching led him to become a beloved educator at Seton Catholic High School, where he made a lasting impact on young minds. Additionally, he embraced his role as a basketball coach, inspiring his players both on and off the court. Beyond his teaching career, Eddie dedicated part of his time to the Vestal recreation department, serving as a supervisor.

Edward also displayed unwavering loyalty and service to his country. Having been honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he went on to serve an impressive 21 years in the army reserves before retiring.

In the professional sphere, Eddie's dedication was commendable. For two decades, he contributed his talents to the accounts payable office at Binghamton University, leaving a legacy of hard work and reliability.

Upon retirement, he sought the warm embrace of Florida's weather, basking in the sun's rays as he savored his leisurely days. Eventually, he found solace at the New York State Veteran Home, where he continued to touch the lives of those around him.

Edward Martin Dinga is survived by his three loving children, Kimberly Dinga, Kristen Stine, and Kurt Dinga, as well as his twelve nieces and nephews: William Dinga, Steve Dinga, Randy Dinga, Jan (Kaye) Dinga, Jay Dinga, Mary Ellen (Pabst-Denouden) Dinga, Jon Dinga, Michael Dinga, Jodi (Yesensky) Dinga, Jill (Hogan) Dinga,  Tony Dinga, Karen (Kudarauskas) Dinga, and his cherished grandchildren.

As he embarks on his final journey, he reunites with his parents, Joseph Dinga and Mary (Sisak) Dinga, along with 5 siblings and their respective partners: Joseph (Lucy) Dinga, William (Dorothy) Dinga, John (Julia) Dinga, Rudy (Lenoir) Dinga, and Robert (Mel) Dinga.

Edward Martin Dinga will forever be remembered as a loving father, a passionate golfer, a dedicated teacher, and a patriot. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

be made to Seton Catholic High School for tuition assistance in Edward's memory. Let us come together to celebrate the life of this extraordinary man and cherish the memories he gifted us.

Robert Seniska

Robert Seniska, 86 of Apalachin, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday July 21, 2023, at his home. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Mary Seniska. He is survived by four children, Robert Seniska, Jr. (Debbie), Kathleen Brace (Vincent), Betty Lou Cordi (Anthony), Samuel Seniska; six grandchildren, Dustin Brace (Deanna), Nathan Brace (Jillian), Stacy Brace (Nick), Bailee Cordi, Katie Cordi, Christopher Seniska (Brittany); seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Devon, Jemma, Whitney, Noah, Olivia, and Brodie; his brother, Ronald Seniska (Luann). He was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Endicott, and a retired employee of IBM Endicott.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 27th at 10:00 AM at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY, with the Rev. Nathaniel Choma, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Wednesday July 26th from 5 to 7 PM.

Gary Schell

Gary is now at peace in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As he would often say,
even under the worst circumstances, “I’m in God’s hands.” On July 16, 2023 he was reunited
with his mom, Vivian and sister, Cheryl who were tragically killed in an auto accident in 1977.
He was badly injured in the accident and spent over a year in the hospital recuperating.

Born with Cerebral Palsy on March 18, 1947, life dealt Gary many difficult circumstances, but
his strong persistence and faith in God helped him to achieve many things he was told he would
never be able to do. His CP affected him physically but he always wanted people to know that
he had a good mind, so good in fact that he was able to earn a BA degree at Binghamton
University. He was able to live on his own in Florida for over 30 years, learned to drive a car,
and made devoted friends with people wherever he went. One of his favorite scriptures was
Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him (Christ) who strengthens me.”

Gary had the gift of bringing out the love in people. The staff at Ideal Skilled Nursing Facility in
Endicott where he lived the last eleven and a half years, gave him much love and care and even
bestowed on him the title of “Nursing Home Activist” for his efforts to advocate for them and
the residents.

Gary leaves behind his special family, Tim and Virginia Wetherbee of Endicott, cousin Karen
Frobel of Chenango Bridge, cousin Barry Oliver of Johnson City, TN, aunt Marjorie Gorman and
cousins Louise Schabloski, David Gorman and John Gorman, all of Binghamton.

He will be missed by additional extended family and all the wonderful friends he made along his way.
There will be a memorial service for Gary at Pierce Hill Christian Fellowship, 232 Pierce Hill Rd.,
Vestal, NY 13850 on July 29 th at 11 a.m. with a light lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, please
consider a donation in Gary’s memory to his church at this Vestal address.

Helen (Bussa) Resak

Helen (Bussa) Resak, 83 of Endwell, NY, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 13, 2023.

She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Resak, Jr.; her parents, Nellie, and Andrew Bussa; her brother, Mike Bussa; her brother-in-law, Lawrence (Doug) Sexton. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Nikki Resak (Shayne Harris); her sister, Mary Sexton; her brother, Andrew Bussa, Jr. (Ellie); her niece, Kim Sexton (Roberto Sangalli); her nephew, Douglas Sexton (Teri); also, several other nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Helen was an early career woman at a time when few women were. She had a 40+ year career in personnel for the State of New York at the Binghamton State Hospital, Binghamton University, and the Broome Developmental Center.

She was a compassionate caretaker of animals, taking in abandoned cats and adopting dogs. She loved hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, making trips to the Adirondacks and several State Parks. She had a generous heart and a unique sense of humor.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the ED staff and all the compassionate caregivers at Wilson Hospital.

Sharon Lee Filip

Sharon Lee Filip (73), of Vestal, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

She is predeceased by her father, Francis Bostwick and her brother, Walter Bostwick.

She is survived by her husband, Ioan Filip; her daughter, Brittany Cavalieri (Andrew); her son, Daniel Filip (Laura); her mother, Theresa Bostwick; three grandchildren, Ella, William, and Clara; her cousin Denise Macafee (Wayne).

Sharon was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Church and a retired employee of the Union Endicott School District. She had an artistic gift and loved crafting, incorporating her beloved glitter into everything she made. She had a passion for working with children and brought genuine joy to everyone who knew her. Sharon was a proud mother and one of the sweetest souls you would ever meet. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, resilience and shining positivity.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday July 21st at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church 207 Hayes Ave. Endicott, NY. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph’s prior to the mass from 10:15 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.

Evelyn Tatich

Evelyn Tatich (July 8, 1922 – July 12, 2023)

Evelyn Tatich, a beloved and deeply religious soul, entered eternal rest on July 12, 2023. 

Born in Binghamton, NY, Evelyn spent her younger years on Prospect Street, surrounded by the love of her family and Slovak traditions. 

Evelyn was a devoted Catholic whose faith was an integral part of her 101 years. She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church in Endicott. Evelyn’s unwavering trust in God and daily rosary prayer were a guiding light in her life. Her devotion to her faith was evident, as she lived her days with compassion, kindness, and a profound love for God. 

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Peter Tatich, her sister, Mary Jane Serowik, and her infant grandson, Clayton Tatich.  Evelyn leaves a legacy of faith and love that continues through her surviving family. She is mourned by her children, Patricia, Robert, Jere, and Denise (Jim Peduto), and her grandsons, Sam and Steven Tatich, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Evelyn will be remembered as a kind-hearted and humble woman who touched the lives of all who were fortunate to know her. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 11:00 am. at St. Joseph’s Church, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY.

SHE GREATLY ENJOYED BEING SURROUNDED BY HER FAMILY FOR SUNDAY DINNERS, HOLIDAYS AND ESPECIALLY LOVED A SURPRISE VISIT FROM THEM, BUT HER MOST PRECIOUS WERE "TINO TUESDAYS".

Susan Foster

Susan Foster (78), a resilient spirit, passed away on 6/27/23. 

Raised by Jenny and Daniel Ward and originally from England, Sue immigrated to Endicott with her family, where she built a life filled with love. 

Sue faced profound heartache, as she was predeceased by her husband, Henry, and their child, Mark. Despite these losses, Sue's unwavering strength and determination were evident in the way she embraced life and cared for her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren, who were a source of joy and love in Sue's life: Ashley (David) Baker, Daniel (Ashley) Foster, and Destany Foster. Sue is survived by her sister, Sally Ann (John) Moss, as well as several nephews, nieces, and many special friends across the globe. She is also fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Amy Foster, with whom she remained close.

Sue will be remembered for her unwavering love, kindness, incredible resilience, craftiness, and her enthusiasm for hosting family dinners as well as enjoying a good bacon cheeseburger.

Valeri Zemlianko

Valeri Zemlianko , September 8, 1956 - July 06, 2023

Valeri, a loving husband, and father, lost his short battle with brain cancer on July 6th of 2023.

He emigrated from Russia to the US in 1998, so he could provide a brighter future for his wife and children. After the move, he was hired as a carpenter at North East United in Windsor, NY, where he worked until 2019. Valeri did not mind working long hours, so he could provide for his family. He is leaving behind his wife Zoya to whom he was married for 48 years, sons Oleg and Andrei, daughter-in-law Heidi and grandchildren Nickolas and Rebecca, his brothers, Misha, Alexander, and Grigory, sisters Valentina Nadezda and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother Grigory and Vera Zemlianko and sister Vera Muhina.

He loved his family, working with his hands, and fishing. Also enjoyed hanging out in his garage, watching his sons while they were grilling. Furthermore, he loved his wife's cooking and canning various vegetables, and would tell everyone that she could feed an army. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening and grew his own tomatoes, cucumbers, and garlic. There were so many more things he wanted to do and try, however, he did not get a chance. 

Valeri will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him, both in Russia and the US.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 13th at 12 Noon at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott, NY. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell, NY. The family will receive family and friends at Pucedo Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service at 12 Noon
